Well my Dozer and Backhoe (for the tractor) showed up this week. The dozer looks excellent but it's a little muddy to play with much. The backhoe I spent all week trying to get it up and functional. I'll be sorting out some design flaws with the dealer for the next couple months. See pictures of the Dozer in the pictures section. |

Well I'm excited, I made another purchase recently and it finally came through. I purchased a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD Classic. It had ~7000 miles on it, and my friend Matt hooked me up to purchase it after he put the miles on it driving it as a GMC company vehicle. I got a pretty good deal on it and am happy with that. I recently put the Red 1988 Mazda B2200 up for sale on Craigslist for $1500. It would be nice if it sold soon to give us a little "pocket" money. I drove the new Silverado around a few times this weekend, and wow it's got a big gas tank, it took 30 gallons and according to specs it should still have had 7-8 gallons in it. That was $85, thank goodness gas prices are down. I can't really just go driving it around though, still trying to carpool with my co-worker Keith to keep fuel costs down. I'm also suppose to have my dozer and backhoe coming in, in a few more weeks. That should be exciting as well. |

Only partially joking with the title but yes Fall is here. We have been up to fun exciting stuff (jokes) on the farm, like cleaning up and winterizing currently. We did do some Cider pressing with friends a few weeks ago in marathon fashion. Mike, Rachelle, Cole and Chase were morning-afternoon pressing which I think the kids had fun (for a little while, till they got bored.) Then Matt and fiance Heather (they just got engaged) picked apples in the evening, and the ladies made a delicious dinner. Then my old neighbor from Hillsboro John and kids Abbey and Ben came out on the next day in the afternoon.. Abbey was at the right age that she seemed to really enjoy the pressing and helped through the whole thing. It was fun and great to spend time with them since it's been so long since we have hung out. John and I use to drink beers in my garage while I was a bachelor and newly married (I had a keg-o-rator at the time, full of Widmer generally.)
We have also been to the pumpkin patch with family, and have been holding "Game night" on fridays as well. Kyle's mom and friend came out to visit, so we had a chance for air hockey. Matt and Heather came out for a game night in addition to our normal participants Josh, Chad and Charles who have been out for most game nights. It was good to change it up and play a couple card and board games, when Matt and Heather were there, that we normally don't (or don't have enough players to typically.) Give us a call or contact us if you want to come out for a visit, or have us meet up for a visit. |

Well I bought a Jinma 454 and a Yuchai 306 Dozer. Both Chinese machines. I'm pretty happy with the Jinma 454 (45HP Diesal) and already completed a project, take a look in the picture section for more pics. I'll receive my backhoe and dozer in Mid Oct.
